Coach Kara is a recent graduate from SDSU where she received a B.A. in Political Science.  Prior to college, Kara attended Point Loma High School where she played for 4 years.  While in high school, she also played at Sunwest Volleyball Club for 4 years, which is more recently known as Epic Volleyball Club.  Kara then played for Grossmont College where she excelled as a Libero/Defensive Specialist as well as serving as team captain.

For the past 6 seasons, coach Kara has worked with both the boys and girls programs at La Jolla High School.  Most recently she has been working with the girls freshmen team.  During her career she has helped La Jolla High School advance to many C.I.F. finals, including back to back championships with the boys.

Kara has worked with Wind n Sea Volleyball club for 3 years.  When she is not coaching volleyball, she is actively teaching San Diego youth how to surf.  She also enjoys being competitive and you might catch her on re-runs of Wipeout.  Kara is excited to coach this season and she looking forward to teaching your athletes.
